Makerspace Orientation Video

How It Works

Makerspace computers are available through a reservation system.

Equipment is available for in-library checkout and use after orientation is completed.

Workspaces and lockers are available on a first-come first-served basis.

All users must have a valid library account in good standing. Patrons under age 14 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

An orientation for equipment and the Sound Recording Studio is required before use.

Makerspace users must follow all safety instructions and clean up after themselves.

Items produced must follow copyright/trademark laws--you must have the owners permission to reproduce anything that is copyrighted or trademarked.

The Makespace may be used for design and prototyping of commercial products, however it may not be used for production of physical items that will be sold.

Library staff and volunteers are happy to answer questions, provide guidance, and help you locate additional information when possible. However, staff and volunteers will not create or design files or physical items for patrons.
